Senior Staff Accountant

This position will be responsible for assisting in the financial close process.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities including creating and entering journal entries
• Assist with consolidation to ensure timely and accurate financial results
• Prepare account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
• Conduct high level review and analysis of general ledger accounts
• Extract and prepare ad hoc reports for management
• Assist in requests from external auditors
• Maintain and update the documentation of the procedure for the position
• Assist with process improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA, or CPA Candidate a plus
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, public or private industry
• Must have strong organizational skills along with problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience with ERP systems, and proficiency with MS Excel
• Able to meet deadlines with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
