Senior Data Scientist

DescriptionKforce has a client in Armonk, NY that is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support a leading Energy & Utilities organization by developing predictive analytics solutions that improve resource planning, operational performance, and business decision-making. This role will transform workforce and planning health into measurable KPIs, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and develop recommendation models that optimize capacity and operational efficiency.Responsibilities:* Perform exploratory analysis on large, complex operational datasets* Develop predictive models for resource planning, capacity forecasting, and operational health* Build forecasting, anomaly detection, and recommendation models using machine learning techniques* Conduct feature engineering, model validation, and back-testing to ensure model accuracy* Collaborate with business and technology teams to define success metrics and deliver actionable insights* Present findings and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders* Maintain code and machine learning pipelines using GitHub and Azure Machine LearningRequirements* 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Predictive Analytics* Strong Python experience including pandas, scikit-learn, Prophet (or similar forecasting libraries), and PyTorch (preferred)* Advanced SQL skills and experience working with Snowflake* Experience developing and deploying models using Azure Machine Learning* Expertise in exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and model validation* Experience with GitHub and collaborative development practicesPreferred Qualifications:* Experience solving resource, workforce, or capacity planning challenges* Energy & Utilities or other regulated industry experience* Experience with survival analysis or duration modeling* Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytical results into business recommendationsJob TypeContractCompensation50 - $60
