Barista Position at Wellington Regional Medical Center

This is a per diem position at Wellington Regional Medical Center, located in Wellington, Florida. It is a 235-bed acute care hospital owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., a highly respected healthcare management organization. Job Requirements: Provides exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages. Takes orders and makes coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications. Operates cash register and credit card machines. Fields customer concerns or questions while maintaining good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages. Works various barista positions under the supervisor of the Food and Nutrition Management team. Greets visitors and guests and prepares their coffee or food menu selections. Responsible for order accuracy, customer service, and timeliness of service. Cleans all assigned work areas, including sweeping and mopping of floors and refrigerators. Re-stocks food and non-food supplies in work areas. Removes garbage and boxes from department per policy and procedure. Records temperatures of the food, freezers, and refrigerators daily. Works in dish room and cleans all necessary items daily. Sweeps and mops floors in the serving and dining areas. May be cross-trained for other positions within the department. Exhibits excellent customer service skills in all interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, hospital, and supervisory staff. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calls a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training.

Qualifications: 1 year hospital food service experience preferred. Servsafe certified a plus.
