- Maintain and manage attorneys' calendars, scheduling appointments, deadlines, and court dates.
- Serve as a backup for the front desk, which includes handling faxing, scanning, and other clerical duties as needed.
- Accurately enter billable time for attorneys into our timekeeping system.
- Save and name documents appropriately in Worldox, ensuring all files are organized and easily accessible.
- Transcribe dictation accurately and efficiently, ensuring all transcriptions are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Ensure all tasks are completed with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in an insurance defense or litigation setting.
- Proficiency in Worldox or similar document management systems. Familiarity with timekeeping software is a plus.
- Experience with transcribing dictation, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
