Legal Assistant, need Workers' Comp, in office role

We are partnering with a law firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Worker's Comp experience and will be organized, dependable, technologically savvy, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced professional environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and document support to attorneys and legal staff.
• Prepare, format, proofread, and revise legal documents and correspondence.
• Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and email communications.
• Handle electronic court filings and maintain filing deadlines.
• Scan, organize, and manage documents within the firm's paperless document management system.
• Convert, combine, and edit PDF documents using PDF software.
• Maintain accurate electronic files and records.
• Coordinate projects and assignments from inception through completion while ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Assist with other administrative and legal support duties as needed.

 

Qualifications

• One year of litigation legal experience at a law firm
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and reliability.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Exceptional typing, proofreading, grammar, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Demonstrated proficiency with technology and the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Experience working in a paperless office environment is preferred.

 

Technical Skills

Candidates should have experience with:

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Outlook
• Electronic filing (e-filing)
• PDF document management software (including pdfDocs or similar programs)
• Scanning and electronic document organization
• Document management systems

 

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary of $60,000 – $75,000, commensurate with experience
