Morgan Hunter is partnering with a growing professional services organization to add an Event Project Manager to its team. This role is ideal for an experienced project manager who enjoys coordinating complex event projects, managing logistics, and working directly with clients in a fast-paced environment.


This opportunity offers a unique blend of project management, event coordination, and travel while collaborating with a close-knit, innovative team. Candidates located in the Kansas City area are preferred, though those elsewhere in the Midwest with convenient airport access will also be considered.


Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from planning through completion
• Coordinate logistics including venues, vendors, travel, equipment, and project materials
• Develop event project timelines, budgets, and monitor project expenses
• Coordinate participant recruitment and oversee project deliverables
• Maintain project documentation, spreadsheets, and reporting
• Travel to support on-site event projects, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful execution
• Manage inventory, shipping, and technology preparation for upcoming projects
• Recommend process improvements and support continuous operational excellence

Qualifications

• Ability to travel 2-3 times per month, including occasional evenings and weekends
• 2+ years of project management experience, preferably in event planning, research, or client services
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
• Experience coordinating events, logistics, or complex projects
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Self-starter who remains calm under pressure and thrives in a collaborative environment
