Take your emergency nursing expertise to a busy adult emergency department offering advanced emergency and trauma care. This 13-week travel assignment provides 12-hour day shifts, a 1:5 patient ratio, and exposure to a wide range of high-acuity emergency conditions.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: 4x12-hour shifts / 3x12-hour shifts

• Patient Ratio: 1:5

• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Holiday Requirement: Must be available every other holiday if needed

• Call: None

• Floating: Required within clinical skillset

• Charting: Epic experience required

• Scrubs: Any combination of navy blue and white

• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 75 miles
  

Minimum Requirements

• Active NY RN License

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred

• BLS required

• ACLS required

• NIHSS required

• PALS and TNCC preferred/required per unit qualifications

• Epic experience is a hard requirement

• Strong adult emergency department experience

• IV therapy, including starting and maintaining IVs

• Blood product administration

• Central line care and management

• IV vasopressor experience

• CPAP/BiPAP management

• Ventilator management

• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management

• Stroke, CVA, TBI, neuro-trauma, and spinal cord injury experience

• Triage experience

• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring

• Experience with trauma, orthopedic emergencies, and emergency medications

• Phlebotomy experience

• Isolation precautions/PPE

• Ability to care for suicidal, violent, and acute psychiatric patients

• Ability to float within clinical skillset
