Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week, except during orientation week and holidays when the unit is closed
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float requirement to all inpatient units
• Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can occur in hour increments as needed
• Work in a 40-bed post-surgical care unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 during day/evening shifts, 1:5 to 1:7 during nights
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with occupancy of 90-95% during the week
• Average patient length of stay is 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as part of a team
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: any color
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
