About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash management. This role is pivotal in guiding the organization through its next phase of growth, and the successful candidate will be expected to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day financial oversight in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Key responsibilities for the CFO include leading the annual audit process, ensuring internal controls, compliance, and financial governance, and partnering with executive leadership and the Board on financial strategy and planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit accounting, leadership experience, and the ability to drive process improvements and strengthen the financial infrastructure across the organization. The ideal CFO for this role at the company will have a background as an experienced nonprofit accounting or finance leader, with a preference for those who have prior CFO experience or a strong Controller ready to take the next step. A heavy audit and compliance background is required, and the role is well-suited for someone who is adept at operating in both strategic and tactical capacities. The CFO will also be responsible for mentoring and developing a small accounting team, so leadership and team development skills are essential.
