Job Posting Note: Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to become part of our expanding and esteemed program within the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD).

This role will primarily be situated at one of our satellite outpatient facilities (Arrowhead or East Valley), where you will deliver exceptional, family-focused hematology and oncology services in a community-oriented environment. Additionally, the position entails inpatient responsibilities at our main campus in Phoenix (approximately 6-8 weeks per year), fostering strong collaboration with the wider division and ensuring seamless continuity of care.

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient services in pediatric hematology and oncology at a satellite clinic.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of benign hematologic conditions and pediatric cancers.
• Provide ongoing care, including survivorship and supportive services.
• Engage in inpatient duties at the main campus (approximately 6-8 weeks annually).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
• Eligible for licensure in Arizona.
• A strong dedication to clinical excellence and teamwork.

The CCBD is among the largest pediatric hematology and oncology programs in the Southwest, featuring over 50 providers and a robust presence in clinical research, subspecialty care, and programmatic expansion.

Position Duties

• Patient Care Services
  • Provide patient care services for which you are clinically privileged, including but not limited to:
    • Deliver direct patient care on both inpatient and outpatient bases.
    • Offer subspecialty consultations and follow-up care.
    • Administer diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures.
    • Provide urgent/emergent care as necessary.
  • Aim to achieve optimal patient and family-centered care.
  • Support the hospital's patient satisfaction objectives as well as specific division targets.
  • Adhere to divisional standards for patient safety and quality of care.
  • Practice contemporary evidence-based medicine or the latest experience-based approaches.
• Divisional Responsibilities
  • Establish and work towards achieving annual goals and objectives for physicians (individual, division, hospital).
  • Support the medical education initiatives of the division, including:
    • Supervise trainees and allied health professionals in delivering inpatient and outpatient services when applicable.
    • Conduct teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences for trainees.
    • Participate in the education and supervision of trainees and allied health professionals assigned to the division.
    • Engage in postgraduate continuing education activities of the division.
  • Support the division's research efforts, including initiatives led by other division members.
  • Contribute to the programmatic growth of the division.
  • Assist with satellite efforts of the division when appropriate.

    • Ability to communicate via telephone, computer, or other communication devices.
