Apply to find out more and become our next ROCKStar.POSITION SUMMARY:The cook is responsible for preparing all meal items in accordance with the menu, resident preferences, and diets, ensuring quality and safety policies and procedures are adhered to during production.QUALIFICATIONS:Must have a ROCKSTAR attitudeAbility to read, write and speak the English language, communicate effectively, and carry out verbal and/or written instructionsMust have knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methodsFood Safety Manager Certification required to be presented within 30 days of hireOne (1) year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Experience healthcare kitchen setting will be considered.Must be able to follow recipes, use basic math, and lead the team in Director of Food & Nutrition Services absenceESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Prepare all food items according to pre-determined menus, resident diets, and preferences identified on tray cardsPerform daily scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with sanitation, safety, and infection control policies and procedures including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing walls and equipment while wearing personnel protective equipment (PPE) as instructed by the supervisorAbility to understand and execute the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving of food process within the Department of Food & Nutrition ServicesSafely utilize equipment; report any equipment needing service or repair immediatelyEnsure that all work areas are maintained keeping them clean and safe in accordance with sanitary, safety, and infections control proceduresMust be capable of maintaining regular attendance in accordance with FPACP attendance policyPromote positive customer service with residents, family members, guests, and team members.Use appropriate workplace behavior; always adhere to the Department Food & Nutrition Services dress codeUnderstand that other duties not listed may be required as neededPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationsWORK SCHEDULE:As assigned, including some weekends, evenings and holidays; non-exempt positionAA/EEO/M/F/D/VWe offer great benefits to our valued team members!Excellent compensation - 6 Holidays - Life Insurance- Short Term and Long Term DisabilityHealth PlansVisionDentalGenerous PTODailyPay AvailableMuch More#becomearockstar #fpacprocks #J-18808-Ljbffr Focused Post Acute Care Partners
