Donor Services Training Coordinator

Job Description This position assumes responsibility for and leads the daily operations of mobile blood bank personnel and processes; carries out quality control, operates computer systems, and performs administrative duties as directed by the Supervisor. The role includes maintaining confidentiality of donors, patients, and employees, monitoring and evaluating work activities, coordinating resources to achieve quality customer satisfaction, and implementing policies and procedures required for success. Key duties involve supervising initiatives to improve processes, maximizing efficiency, serving internal and external customers, maintaining high employee morale, performing all duties of a Blood Bank Technician, overseeing donor reaction care, and ensuring all related documentation and follow‑up actions are completed. Responsibilities Leads daily operations of mobile blood bank personnel and processes. Performs quality control and computer data entry. Maintains donor, patient, and employee confidentiality. Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of work activities. Coordinates mobile drive resources to achieve high customer satisfaction. Improves processes, maximizes efficiency, and supports customer service. Supervises donors and staff during blood donor reaction care. Documents and follows up on donor reactions. Qualifications Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Work Experience : Minimum 7 years in a healthcare‑related field; preferred supervisory or leadership experience. Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association; valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record to operate company vehicles. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Computer skills for data entry and retrieval. Job Duties Maintain clinical competency (donor selection, phlebotomy, automated collections, donor care). Perform team leader role. Manage professional accountability. Perform additional related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands Medium work involving occasional exertion of 20-50 pounds, frequent 10-25 pounds, and constant forces up to 10 pounds. Requires walking, standing, and physical maneuvering of objects. Operates in a patient care environment with exposure to blood and bodily fluids, potential hazardous medications, and waste.
