EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES COORDINATOR (CLASS CODE 8115)

Job Overview Highly responsible administrative work assisting the director in coordinating the City’s emergency management plans across logistics, planning, operations and training, communications, and information technology. The position involves coordination of processes for the operation and implementation of the City’s emergency management plans. Key Responsibilities Assist in emergency services planning, development, resource identification, inter‑agency response management, incident assessment, and public education. Develop and train City employees and volunteers in disaster response preparation. Support emergency logistics and information technology functions related to emergency management. Coordinate activities necessary for the operation and implementation of emergency management plans. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in an emergency preparedness program. NOTE: Additional emergency preparedness experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree on a year‑for‑year basis, with one year of experience equaling thirty (30) semester hours of college credits.
