Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

• Manage the Editorial Director's calendar, scheduling, travel arrangements, expenses, and meeting coordination while partnering with editorial and executive assistants across the organization.
• Maintain and organize the Delish and House Beautiful editorial inboxes, routing pitches, responding to inquiries, and supporting editorial workflows.
• Support editorial operations by processing contracts and invoices, creating production documents, filing copyrights, organizing pitches, confirming shoots, conducting archive research, auditing recipe content, building presentations, and compiling team data.
• Assist with outreach and coordination for influencer campaigns, events, panels, and other cross-functional brand initiatives.
• Pitch, research, and write digital stories and social video content as assigned, with opportunities to contribute recipes and other editorial projects.
• Contribute to print production by completing the Table of Contents, distributing issues and PDFs to contributors, and assisting with other print editorial needs.
• Organize and maintain the Delish and House Beautiful archives to ensure editorial assets are accessible and well managed.
• Handle administrative and operational support, including sourcing products, running occasional errands, ordering supplies, and assisting the team with day-to-day priorities.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

• 1+ years of professional or academic experience in journalism, editorial, project management, or equivalent experience.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with an interest in digital publishing and storytelling.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Experience using Google Workspace, including Google Sheets; familiarity with Asana or similar project management platforms is a plus.
• Passion for food, design, lifestyle, and digital media, with an understanding of current trends and creators.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to support both editorial and operational functions.
• Portfolio, writing samples, or other examples of editorial work are encouraged.
• This role is based in New York, NY and follows a hybrid schedule with four days per week in the office.
  
  

The hourly pay rate for this role is $25.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
