The daily workflow involves meeting with investment managers, generating research notes and formal reports, tracking and analyzing performance and exposures, and other ad hoc projects. The role requires leading and completing various projects under strict deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Attend meetings with investment managers and prepare post-meeting reports for dissemination to colleagues across the organization and to clientsCreate and update investment manager reports used for reviews and recommendations to clientsAssist with underwriting new investment ideas by analyzing firm background, investment strategy, historical performance, portfolio positioning, and fund termsUtilize investment tools including Preqin and PitchBook, to conduct manager analysisCreate asset class reviews summarizing major trends, including macroeconomic backdrop, performance drivers, competitive landscape, and key client considerationsConduct modeling, including updating client cash flow models and tracking forward commitment calendarsQualificationsUndergraduate degree (academic concentration in economics, finance, or business is preferred)2-5 years of experience within the financial services industry through internships or full-time positions with a preference for experience at a foundation, endowment, family office, or consultant and prior experience underwriting private investment strategiesExcellent written communication skills (a writing sample is required for consideration)Proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask and organize competing priorities and deadlinesAnalytical problem-solving and data analysis skills with high attention to detailIntellectual curiosity and desire for constant learningAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge of capital markets and securities analysis; specific asset class experience is a plusExperience with investment technology (Preqin, PitchBook, Bloomberg, etc) is a plusWhat We Offer:At Cresset, we focus on people first.
