Phlebotomist Float

Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives. Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Nevada to include, but not limited to Reno and surrounding areas. Work Schedule: Must be available for hours that vary Monday - Friday between 6:15 am - 4:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed Job Responsibilities: Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications: Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license Preferred Qualifications: Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist Drawing on pediatrics Additional Job Standards: In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Be at least 21 years of age Valid Driver's License and clean driving record Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision As a Float Phlebotomist , you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/patient service center locations. Pay Range: $17.75 - $27.69 per hour Float Differential: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
