Whether you are just starting your career or taking the next step in healthcare, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of care in our communities.Learn more at .Summary: The Unit Clerk supports the nursing staff by performing clerical duties and assisting with patient care.Roles and Responsibilities:Communicates with other departments as necessary- maintenance, housekeeping, dietary, security, etc.Performs clerical duties such as ordering supplies, answering the telephone, delivering messages, making charts, coordinating and organizing transfer paperwork, and more.Supports patient care- making appointments, calling providers, and assisting with prior authorizations.Answers call bells and coordinates bed assignments with Charge nurses.Required Skills and Experience:High school or equivalent experiencePreferred Skills and Experience:Prior patient careCustomer service experienceClerical experiencePhysical requirements:Frequent hand and finger use (e.g., to operate a computer keyboard).Lifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs.
