About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Development to spearhead its philanthropic efforts and lead a team dedicated to the mission of providing essential services to those in need. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that encompasses major gifts, individual giving, corporate and foundation partnerships, and special events. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach, with a focus on revenue growth, donor stewardship, and campaign development. The VP of Development will also be instrumental in building and managing a portfolio of high-capacity donors, as well as engaging with the Board and CEO to maximize their effectiveness in fundraising. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 8-10 years' of nonprofit fundraising experience, including a proven track record in securing major gifts. The role demands a leader with strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in healthcare, homelessness, housing, or human services is preferred, and meaningful connections within the relevant geographic area are a plus.
