Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care/ICU to provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The RN Clinical Nurse will work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing safe, individualized, evidence-based patient care while supporting patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of ICU experience, strong critical-thinking skills, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Burn Unit experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU/Critical Care setting.
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients closely and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established nursing standards.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Provide patient and family education and keep patients and families informed of the plan of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care planning, and performance improvement activities.
• Follow evidence-based nursing practices, hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered environment.
• Support orientation, mentoring, and professional development of nursing staff when appropriate.
• Assist with efficient use of clinical resources and support quality improvement initiatives.
• May float to the Burn Unit based on department needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Georgia Single State or Compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/Critical Care experience required.
• Experience providing direct patient care.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required or must be obtained within 180 days.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment.
• Basic computer and clinical technology skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Burn Unit experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in a hospital ICU, Critical Care, or high-acuity clinical environment.
• Experience with evidence-based nursing practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Schedule & Working Conditions

• Night Shift
• 6:45 PM 7:15 AM
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced Critical Care environment.
• May be required to float to the Burn Unit based on patient care needs.
