Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential or eligibility in Illinois
• Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Experience adapting curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
• Effective communication and collaboration with families, colleagues, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, positive learning atmosphere

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Conduct assessments to determine students’ strengths and challenges
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to promote student success
• Maintain organized records and accurate progress reports in accordance with regulations
• Implement positive behavioral supports and classroom routines
• Communicate regularly with families to keep them informed of student progress and goals
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
