Vice President of Strategic Finance

Ascension Search Partners has been engaged to identify a VP of Finance for a rapidly growing, private equity-backed services platform. This is a highly visible, newly created role intentionally designed for a strategic finance leader , not a traditional FP&A operator. The role will partner closely with the CFO, executive team, and sponsor to drive financial visibility, support key business initiatives, and elevate reporting and decision-making across the organization .

Key Responsibilities

• Own the long-range (5-year) financial model and enterprise forecasting framework
• Lead corporate reporting , including executive and sponsor-level cadence (QBRs, ongoing performance reviews)
• Oversee SG&A planning, budgeting, and cost management across corporate functions
• Provide insight and decision support to senior leadership and the board
• Support M&A activity , including modeling, diligence, and integration as needed
• Provide strategic oversight of finance shared services (AR, AP, billing, cash application), partnering with an established leader
• Help drive process improvement, scalability, and financial transparency across a high-growth, multi-entity platform

• Proven finance leader with strong FP&A foundation and strategic capability
• Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth environment
• Track record of partnering with executive leadership and influencing decisions
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
