We are seeking an experienced Recreational Therapy Director to lead our recreational therapy team at our esteemed facility in Ballwin, Missouri. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing recreational therapy programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being for our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement recreational therapy programs that meet the unique needs of our patients, including individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized treatment plans that incorporate recreational therapy goals and objectives

• Assess and evaluate patient progress, adjusting programs as needed to ensure optimal outcomes

• Supervise and mentor recreational therapy staff, including therapists, assistants, and volunteers

• Develop and manage budgets and administrative tasks to ensure efficient program operation

• Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Current certification as a Recreational Therapist (CRT) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

• Minimum of [ Minimum Years of Experience ] years of experience in recreational therapy, preferably in a long-term care setting

• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
