Make a difference every day by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher, working within a welcoming elementary school setting near Saint Paul, MN. This contract opportunity runs from September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers a fulfilling chance to collaborate with a skilled team and dedicated support staff. As part of this role, you’ll provide tailored instruction and interventions for a caseload of up to ten students, alongside experienced paraprofessionals and an intervener, ensuring each child receives the guidance they need to succeed.
What We’re Seeking:
- Valid and active special education teaching license (PELSB/MDE required)
- Tier 2 credential as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience in special education classrooms; preference for those with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) teaching background
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with paras, interveners, and other staff
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individualized instruction for students on your caseload, adapting curriculum as needed
- Oversee daily programming for up to ten students, supported by paras and an intervener
- Implement IEPs and participate in team meetings
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with families and team members
- Promote social, behavioral, and academic growth through evidence-based practices
This full-time, school-based position offers a consistent 37.5-40 hour schedule each week, allowing you to focus on what matters most: your students’ success. Because the team is looking for someone who can get started smoothly, applicants must already hold the required special education license.
