You'll work side by side with a collaborative veterinary team, caring for patients who need urgent and life-saving medical attention.Your responsibilities will include:Triaging incoming emergency casesAssisting veterinarians with treatments and proceduresIV therapy administrationWound careFeeding tube managementPatient assessmentsCatheter placementLaboratory sample collectionBlood and plasma transfusionsCompassionate patient handling and comfort-focused careYou'll also have the opportunity to strengthen and expand your knowledge in:Digital radiographyUltrasound imagingAnesthesiaCritical care monitoringLong-term ventilationEndoscopyCTDialysisAdvanced emergency medicine proceduresIn addition, you'll perform in-house laboratory testing including:CBCBlood gas analysisCytologyAdditional diagnostic testingYou'll also communicate with clients during patient discharge, providing compassionate education and support during stressful situations.REQUIREMENTSGraduate of an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology programAdvanced technical skills in:Digital radiographyUltrasound imagingIDEXX lab equipmentAnesthetic ventilationEndoscopyCTDialysisVentilationYou must also meet at least one of the following:Veterinary technology certification or licensureExperience working in a veterinary practice or emergency veterinary medicineWHO WE AREAt Red River Animal Emergency Clinic, we've proudly served the Fargo community and surrounding areas for years, providing compassionate, high-quality emergency care when pets need it most.
