Crisis Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) / Physician Assistant (PA)

Job Number: 26-11871 Job Summary Work in a dynamic, short-term residential treatment program to help support stabilization and continuity of care for adult individuals experiencing a crisis episode under the supervision of a licensed physician. Serves as a provider in a mental‑health setting, providing medical services within the scope of license, training, credentialing, and current standards of care, and per quality criteria of the employer. Determines and documents evidence of psychopathology, if present, and makes a diagnostic formulation. Assesses the client's needs and options to satisfy the requirements of the case. Discusses with the client findings and recommendations. Decides whether initiation of treatment is urgent: medication, labs, other diagnostic tests, hospitalization, social setting, detox program; verifies that written consent for medication of client has been secured, documents therapist's plan, and/or completes other referral/medical forms as appropriate. With the consent of the client, the therapist carries out the treatment plan, documents in a prescribed manner the interactions during sessions, and the progress of therapy. Discusses opinions and findings with therapists and makes recommendations when indicated. Works closely within a multi‑disciplinary unit team alongside Unit Manager(s), and in consultation with the Associate Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer, to define and deliver quality clinical medical care for all clients within the unit. Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule. Education Master's degree in Nursing License Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse‑Psychiatric Mental Health or a Physician Assistant in Texas DEA license Current and valid Driver's License and a clean driving record Board Certified in Psychiatry Experience 1 year of residential psych Mental Health / Services Act experience Hours Full‑Time Work Hours 9:00AM – 6:00PM, 10:00AM – 7:00PM Work Days Monday – Friday Salary $133,427.26 – $196,918.96 annually based on years of licensure Why Join Us Integral Care has proudly served Travis County residents for the past 50 years.
