Your Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing personalized care paths
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health issues in partnership with doctors or independently (based on your credentials)
• Educating patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and management of diseases
• Prescribing medications and treatments within your professional scope

• Meticulously documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Required

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
