About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a key executive in the organization. The COO will be responsible for leading comprehensive strategic planning processes, championing equity, and driving change. This role involves providing ongoing management activities, ensuring the organization's long-range plans align with community and customer needs, and maintaining a best-in-class governance system. The successful candidate will also oversee talent management, diversity, and organizational development, acting as the primary people officer and fostering a culture of inclusivity and equity. Additionally, the COO will be involved in information technology management, general management, external relationship building, and administration, with a focus on enterprise risk management. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years' general management and supervisory experience, with a preference for a Master's degree. The role requires a candidate with strong strategic planning, governance, marketing, public relations, organizational development, and information technology skills, as well as extensive knowledge of the nonprofit sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, vision, and insight, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. A deep commitment to equity and social justice, as well as the ability to be politically astute and act as a key influencer, are essential. The COO will be expected to be achievement-oriented, adaptable, and open to continuous learning and self-mastery.
