Join our team as a Fabricator, where you will primarily focus on repairing and assembling various components such as buckets, bins, pumps, and desks. You will operate bending and shearing equipment including brake presses, shears, and saws, and engage in MIG and Stick welding on materials like mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon. Your role will also involve soldering and joining sheet metal components to produce finished assemblies, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Precise measurement taking and the use of a wide range of hand and power tools are integral to this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on components such as buckets, bins, pumps, and desks.
• Operate bending and shearing equipment including brake presses, shears, and saws.
• Engage in MIG and Stick welding on mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon.
• Solder and join sheet metal components to produce finished assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Take precise measurements and mark out dimensions.
• Utilize a wide range of hand and power tools.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of fabrication experience
• Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding
• Skill in operating brake presses and shears
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience with a variety of hand and power tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding certificate is a plus
• Carpentry experience

Work Environment

Work primarily in our shop in Beloit, with occasional travel to job sites within an 80-mile radius, including Indiana and Alabama for up to a week at a time. Plans are in place to establish both a shop crew and a travel crew. The role requires working 50-hour weeks, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 4 PM, with minimal weekend work unless necessary. Our team consists of five individuals, including two managers/foremen and three fabricators. We prefer candidates from smaller shops who have experience building from the ground up rather than production-type work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00/yr. Extensive benefits package: -Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance/STD/LTD -PTO: you'll get this right away from day 1, 1 week to start out -Paid holidays: 7 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday (this year it was the day before the fourth of july) -401k match (100% up to 3% and 50% up to 4-5%)
