Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions utilizing telehealth technologies to engage effectively with clients.

• Perform comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to inform treatment strategies and establish personalized care plans.
\n
• Facilitate skill-building in areas such as coping mechanisms, social skills development, anger management, and strategies to mitigate risk behaviors, including self-injury or physical aggression.
\n
• Support youth and caretakers in enhancing decision-making skills to effectively navigate in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and external professionals, ensuring cohesive support systems for adult clients and their families.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical activities, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and SOAP/DAP notes, in compliance with organizational protocols.

• Participate in mandatory monthly meetings and complete weekly administrative tasks to maintain workflow integrity.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve adult clients facing various mental health challenges. You will engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, each presenting with unique therapeutic needs. Your role will be crucial in providing culturally-sensitive care that addresses the personal, social, and psychological factors impacting their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or a related field (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) is required.

• Clinical Mental Health Training, with substantial knowledge of mental health practices and theories.
\n
• Completion of post-internship field experience focused on adult clients with clinical complexities.
\n
• Proficiency in creating and implementing treatment plans, establishing treatment goals, and documenting progress notes and initial assessments.
\n
• Knowledge and experience in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care.

• Familiarity with the DSM-5 for accurate assessments and diagnoses.

Preferred Experience\n

• A background in providing positive behavior support strategies will be highly valued.

• Prior involvement in Crisis Intervention Training is an advantage.
\n
• Experience working in virtual or remote settings that may require adaptability to technology-facilitated care.
