Pay Range: $30 per hour based on experience.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Electrical team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record for troubleshooting and wiring complex electrical systems. This includes maintenance, equipment power-up, and repairs. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS *

• Build and assemble electrical enclosures under the supervision of an electrician
• Running cables and conduit
• Perform repetitive production tasks 
• wiring of vacuum chambers
• Building custom cable harnesses
• Basic troubleshooting using various tools and meters
• Soldering and testing cables 
• Reading schematics understanding prints
• Understanding of NEC code and safe wiring practice

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS 

• Vocational High School diploma or equivalent in Electrical
• Continuing education towards and electrical license 
• Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment.
• May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations
• Minimum to 10% travel requirement to customer sites.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to wear safety shoes, goggles, hoods with protective lenses, and other PPE designed to prevent injuries

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. 
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. 
• The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
