CMM Inspector/Metrology (1st/2nd/3rd shift options)

Location Newburyport, Mass - M‑F 2nd shift (2pm‑10pm OR 3pm‑11pm) Start Date ASAP Duration 6‑month contract plus extension Employment Type Green card holders and U.S. citizens only Interview Process Direct interview with hiring manager; quick offer turnaround Must‑Have Qualifications 3+ years of experience in Quality/CMM Inspections in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with Calypso software is preferred. (NOT REQUIRED) Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and dimensional inspection. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams. High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred). Key Responsibilities Operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software to inspect complex precision components. Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to develop and execute inspection plans. Perform first article, in‑process, and final inspections. Analyze and report measurement data, identifying trends and quality issues. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve non‑conformances. Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment. Document inspection results and maintain traceability per quality standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace, medical device, or precision manufacturing. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems. Knowledge of SPC and data analysis tools.
