Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Massachusetts Travel Nursing Contract

Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,650–$2,790
• Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
• Healthcare Setting: On-site, 118-bed emergency care unit
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• End Date: February 14, 2027
• Nursing Shift: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours weekly; four 12-hour shifts may also be available
• Typical Patient Ratio: 1:6

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and authorization to practice in Massachusetts
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department, Emergency Room, or ICU nursing experience after orientation
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Strong critical-care assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and remain effective in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency care environment

Emergency Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients across a broad range of acuities
• Assess, triage, monitor, and care for emergency, trauma, behavioral health, boarding, and critically ill patients
• Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate treatment and support patient flow
• Deliver care for patients requiring ICU-level monitoring and interventions within the emergency setting
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, response to treatment, and ongoing care needs
• Maintain composure, flexibility, and excellent communication in a complex clinical environment
