VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing Overnight care team full time!

We have had the pleasure of assisting hawks, eagles, owls, turtles of all shapes and sizes, fawns, opossums, wild turkeys, porcupines, snakes and more! ER / ICU Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities:

• Collecting patient histories & physical exams
• Medication refills, and Pet parent communication
• Proficient in medical calculations
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients

Potential Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $20.00 - $33.00 / hour dependent on experience, skill set, and licensure status.
