Associate Compliance Specialist

Pay Range $22.61 - $30.15 Job Overview This position is responsible for evaluating, monitoring, or documenting compliance activities while communicating and making recommendations to management to help ensure the company complies with applicable laws, regulations, policies, or procedures. The Associate Compliance Specialist performs a wide range of tasks, executing testing or providing operational or technical support. Tasks involve thoughtfully, effectively, and efficiently reviewing data, transactions, records, processes, and other outcomes according to departmental policies and procedures. The role is completed under general supervision but is expected to work independently when completing assignments in accordance with department standards for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness. Education and Experience 2+ years of Banking or Regulatory related experience (or educational equivalent). Skills and Abilities Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Analyze and creatively solve problems Good research skills and familiarity with banking laws and regulations Collaborate and establish working relationships at all levels of the company Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Perform in a fast‑paced environment, completing many tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and an appropriate sense of urgency Tasks Performed 80% – Complete primarily less complex and/or lower risk assignments by thoughtfully, effectively, and efficiently reviewing data, transactions, records, processes, and other outcomes according to departmental policies and procedures, timely and according to department standards. 10% – Research, study, and learn applicable laws and regulations, product features, systems, and processes. 5% – Develop summary information and recommendations based on results of assignments. 5% – Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers. Stationary 75% of time or greater. Move objects to maximum 10 lbs.
