About Our Client: Addison Group is partnering with a growing law firm in the Rockville area to hire an experienced Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant. This position supports a busy litigation practice and requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide both litigation and high-level administrative support to a team of attorneys. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, polished, and able to work independently while balancing competing deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys in a commercial litigation practice. Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel. Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal correspondence and documents. Prepare pleadings and other legal documents for filing. Assist with state and federal court e-filings. Organize and maintain electronic and paper case files. Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and materials for hearings, depositions, and trials. Coordinate client communications and respond professionally to inquiries. Conduct conflict checks and assist with new matter setup. Handle confidential administrative projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 7+ years of legal assistant experience supporting commercial litigation attorneys. Previous law firm experience required. Experience with state and federal e-filing. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and calendar management. Experience coordinating travel and complex scheduling. Excellent organizational, communication, and proofreading skills. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines with minimal supervision. Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail. Executive support experience is a plus.
