Roofing Foreman

The Roofing Foreman will be responsible for overseeing roofing installations from start to finish, coordinating crews, monitoring workmanship, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on roofing knowledge, leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during a roofing project. Responsibilities The Roofing Foreman will be responsible for overseeing roofing installations from start to finish, coordinating crews, monitoring workmanship, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on roofing knowledge, leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during a roofing project. Responsibilities Oversee residential roofing projects from tear-off through final completion Supervise and coordinate roofing crews on job sites Ensure all roofing work is completed according to manufacturer specifications and Velocity Roofing quality standards Inspect roof decking, flashing, ventilation, underlayment, shingles, and other roofing components throughout installation Identify potential problems or additional work required during tear-off and installation Communicate job-site issues, material needs, and project updates to management Verify crews have the correct materials and equipment needed to complete each project Maintain safe and organized job sites Ensure proper use of fall protection and other required safety equipment Perform quality-control inspections during and after installation Confirm proper cleanup of the property, including debris removal and magnetic nail sweeping Document project progress and completed work with photos when required Communicate professionally with homeowners when necessary Help resolve installation or workmanship concerns in the field Ensure projects remain on schedule and crews work efficiently Complete final walkthroughs and confirm the project meets company expectations before leaving the job site Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of roofing experience required Strong knowledge of residential asphalt shingle roofing systems Experience with roof tear-offs, installation, flashing, ventilation, underlayment, and roof decking Ability to recognize improper installation or potential roofing problems Previous crew leadership, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Comfortable working outdoors and on roofs in varying weather conditions Ability to safely climb ladders and navigate residential roofing systems Valid driver's license and reliable transportation What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands what a properly installed roofing system should look like.
