Accounts Payable Lead - Westminster, CO (Hybrid, in-office)


Salary - $58,000-$62,000, based on experience

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Lead to serve as a subject matter expert and day-to-day resource for a growing Accounts Payable team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with invoice review and approval, process improvement and training and development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the AP team, providing expertise and guidance to resolve escalated issues and complex transactions
• Analyze major accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations of subsidiary accounts to the general ledger in support of month-end close
• Develop and implement AP record-keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency
• Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies, process inconsistencies, and compliance issues; escalate as appropriate
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and company accounting policies across all AP functions
• Monitor performance indicators, analyze variances, and design and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Direct, train, and assign work to AP staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
• Systems: Microsoft Business Central, Concur

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience with a strong understanding of full-cycle AP and month-end close processes
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and Concur a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and AP best practices
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment
