CPI Adult Specific Competencies CPR Soft Skills Description: General Comments This is a behavioral health unit. The unit has a total of 40 beds. There are 46 staff members on the unit. The daytime staffing ratio includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 3 Mental Health Technicians. Night shift staffing includes 4 RNs and 3 Mental Health Technicians. The patient ratio is 1:8. No specific equipment is used on the unit. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. The typical hiring profile seeks individuals with the following skill set. Most recruits are Travel RNs, local Certified Nursing Assistants, and sitters. Candidates with additional training in the Behavioral Health field will be prioritized. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of mental illness. The best personality fit for this unit is someone who is compassionate, kind, motivated, and understanding. Dress code includes turquoise and black scrubs. This is a patient-centered unit that seeks to help others in their darkest hour.
