Key Responsibilities of the MRI Technologist

• Set up and operate MRI equipment with precision and care
• Administer patient care, ensuring safety and comfort during procedures
• Responsible for understanding and applying MRI safety protocols
• Handle critical and ventilated patients in coordination with ICU RNs and RTs
• Administering contrast when required
• Maintain accurate records of procedures using EPIC

Requirements of the MRI Technologist

• ARRT-MR certification
• BLS certification
• A minimum of 1 year MRI experience in either acute or outpatient settings
• Proficiency with equipment including GE Cigna Artist 1.5, Medirad MRI IV pump, MR 400 tele monitor
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with a diverse patient population across different age groups
