This role also leads the hospice and palliative care volunteer program, coordinating recruitment, training, and engagement to enhance patient and family support. This is a full time, non-exempt positionEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Experience in volunteer coordination, community outreach, or healthcare preferred Minimum of two years of administrative or office experience required Essential FunctionsServe as the primary point of contact between HHHPC, patients, families, providers, and community partners, ensuring clear and timely communicationBuild and maintain relationships with hospital departments, clinics, physicians, care facilities, and community organizations to support awareness and referralsEducate patients, families, and referral sources on HHHPC services, eligibility, and referral processesRepresent HHHPC in interdisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and community events, including regular participation in coordination meetings (e.g., Hospital Huddle)Coordinate the full volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, screening, onboarding, training, scheduling, supervision, and retentionServe as the primary contact for volunteers, providing guidance, oversight, and support while addressing concerns appropriatelyAbout UsJefferson Healthcare is a DNV accredited, fully integrated health care system, with numerous accreditations and awards.
