Details Perinatal/Labor and Delivery unit setting Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 13-week assignment Full-time position Requirements Active RN license in TX or compact state required BSN preferred 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred Current certification in NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate FHM required Current BLS certification (AHA only) required Current ACLS certification (AHA only) required Current NRP certification required Perinatal RN residency or recent perinatal setting experience preferred Additional Information Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with completion of organizational and perinatal-specific competency validations Must reside within a 50-mile radius unless local rate arrangements are confirmed Previous CHRISTUS system employees must be separated for 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-747866.
