Executive Director Location: San Antonio, TX Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000 annually About the Organization Our client is a growing, independent Christian church in San Antonio, Texas, with a congregation of approximately 1,000 members. Their mission is to introduce people to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith through Biblical teaching, worship, discipleship, outreach, and prayer while making a meaningful impact in the surrounding community. Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Executive Director to serve as the senior operational leader of the organization. Working closely with the Senior Pastor, this individual will provide executive leadership, organizational oversight, and strategic execution to ensure all ministry and operational functions are aligned with the church's mission and long-term vision. This role is ideal for an accomplished executive with experience leading complex organizations, developing high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence. While previous church leadership experience is welcomed, it is not required . Candidates with executive leadership experience in nonprofit organizations, corporate operations, education, healthcare, military, or other mission-driven organizations are encouraged to apply. The Executive Director will oversee approximately five departments, provide leadership to eight direct reports and multiple ministry leaders, and ensure operational excellence across the organization. Key Responsibilities (Executive Leadership) Partner closely with the Senior Pastor to implement the organization's vision and strategic initiatives. Provide executive leadership and organizational oversight across ministry and operational functions. Lead the Senior Leadership Team while fostering collaboration, accountability, and effective communication. Develop and implement organizational systems, processes, and best practices that support continued growth. Promote a healthy, mission-focused organizational culture built on teamwork, integrity, and servant leadership. Department & Team Leadership Provide leadership and oversight for: Family Ministry Community Ministry Marketing & Outreach Operations Finance Human Resources Facilities Information Technology Office Administration Risk Management Vendor Relationships Strategic Planning & Organizational Development Translate organizational vision into actionable goals and measurable outcomes. Lead strategic planning initiatives and organizational execution. Monitor operational performance and organizational health. Develop systems that improve efficiency, accountability, and communication. Support long-term planning and future organizational growth. Human Resources & Staff Development Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and staff development. Build and maintain a healthy organizational culture. Support ministry leaders through leadership development and coaching. Ensure organizational policies and procedures are consistently followed. Financial & Operational Leadership Assist with annual budgeting and long-range financial planning. Ensure responsible stewardship of financial and organizational resources.
