Medical Interpreter

Responsibilities Jobs in this group typically manage and provide resources that support teaching and learning. They handle acquisition and distribution of materials, support faculty in integrating resources into their curriculum, and ensure access to educational tools. These roles also teach, translate or support language learning programs. Responsibilities may include developing materials, selecting appropriate delivery mechanisms, planning and running classes/courses, and assessing participants' progress. May provide translation support. Individual contributors who provide direct service operational technical or administrative functions spend majority of time in delivery of support services or activities under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience. Fully competent and productive individual contributor. Works under moderate supervision. Problems are typically of routine nature, but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Makes minor adjustments to working methods. Communicates information that requires explanation or interpretation. Minimum Requirements Education : High School or equivalent required; Completion of accredited interpreter training program required. Experience : None. Licensure : Required licensure must be attained within one year of hire or transfer, see position specifications for accepted licensure. Physical Demands Job requires frequently traveling (minimum 1 mile/daily). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may only be a negligible amount, a job is in this category when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Compensation The pay range for this role is $19.88 - $33.94 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
