Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Execute various types of ultrasound exams, such as obstetric, gynecological, abdominal, and vascular imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, explaining each phase with care
• Work alongside radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the highest quality diagnostic results
• Manage imaging equipment effectively, addressing any technical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records within the electronic medical system
• Keep abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging technology and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
