Lofton Staffing is seeking a Collections Specialist for a growing occupational medicine clinic in Baton Rouge, LA!

Responsibilities:
- Monitor clients accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts
- Make phone calls, send emails and take other steps to contact customers with overdue accounts and collect the overdue balances
- Use credit bureau data, post office information, internet searches and other tools to try to locate customers who have moved or changed phone numbers
-Maintain records of attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer
- Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing
- Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress
- Assists internal and external auditors in gathering information requested and provides research on the sample requested.


Requirements:

- Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field preferred
-Minimum 2 years of medical billing/collections experience
- Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of local, state and national laws and regulations relating to accounting procedures
- Time management- Communication and collaboration
