Business Development Manager

PurposeThe Business Development Manager plays an important role in the growth of HC3, as well as the success of the clients they serve by building relationships with client prospects that lead to the discovery of opportunities, which then lead to won business. By effectively generating and developing quality sales leads, this role helps increase the size of the company's client base and overall revenue.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities for this position include the following:Effectively communicate and promote HC3's brand in the marketplace.Execute the sales process to prospect for potential new clients and turn leads into increased business.Meet annual revenue goals and key performance metrics.Use the Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) methodology to understand the progress prospects are seeking.Stay informed about industry trends, competition, and HC3 products and solutions.Travel for conferences and presentations.Provide support for Senior Business Development Managers as needed.Competencies and QualitiesQualified candidates must have the following competencies and qualities:Results-oriented, high energy with team-oriented and collaborative spiritSelf-starter and self-directed while able to follow company processes and proceduresBasic knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniquesExcellent communication skills, including the ability to listen, influence, and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels of a customer's organizationProfessional and polished in appearance and speechAble to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and have excellent follow-up skillsEffective individual contributor with the ability to also focus on team effortsAble to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlinesExcellent follow-up skillsEducation, Experience, and CertificationsRequiredBachelor's Degree2+ years of professional sales experience in financial services, core, or fintechComputer skills requiredAble to conduct on-site meetings during prospect business hoursPreferredKnowledge of Google Suite is a plusSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentIn most cases, work will be performed in a climate-controlled office space. If approved for remote work, employees may work from a home office that is appropriate for focused work without distractions; all remote work must comply with the Remote and Telework Policy.TravelThis role requires travel to conferences and presentations. Occasional flights and overnight travel may be necessary.Physical DemandThis role will require using a computer for long periods of time while either sitting or standing. May occasionally require bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance when setting up the HC3 booth for conferences.Position Type and Expected HoursThis is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (at least 40 hours) per week.
