Opportunity Details

• Position Type: Full Time, 0.8 FTE
• 0.6 FTE Podiatry: Involves outpatient clinic duties, inpatient responsibilities, and allocated operating room (OR) time.
• 0.2 FTE Wound Care: Focused on comprehensive wound management as part of a multidisciplinary wound care team.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 8 AM to 5 PM
• Location: Grand Rapids, MI
• Specialty: Podiatry
• Hospital Info: Located at 200 Jefferson Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503
• Team Size: Comprising 3 surgical podiatrists, along with medical assistants, referral coordinators, a triage nurse, BOC, and surgery scheduling support.
• Teaching Opportunities: Yes - Involvement with residents, medical students, and fellows.
• Call Requirements: Shared rotating call schedule among five podiatrists, with weekly rotations from 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM.

The ideal candidate will join a well-established and collaborative podiatry team that serves a diverse patient population across the Greater Grand Rapids area. This role offers a mix of outpatient clinic work, inpatient consultative care, and surgical opportunities. The physician will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Must be a Board-Certified Surgical Podiatrist
• Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain one)
• DEA license

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

• Delivering direct patient care
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities
• Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives
• Supporting community health initiatives
