Summary:The person in this position will be responsible for planning and coordinating the clinical Substance Abuse/Mental health services for consumers in residential treatment. Conducts assessments for consumers and provides individual and family therapy. Provides direct supervision to staff assigned to program.Essential Job Functions:Oversee and coordinate clinical activities for residential programs.Oversee and coordinate treatment services for consumers and their families with substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders.Responsible for reviewing case notes and weeklies on all active cases and make comments and notes on to be discussed in the weekly Case Review Supervision meeting.Meets individually with each staff, weekly, for a 60 90-minute supervision session.Discusses progress or lack thereof, on each case and plan for next week’s sessions with Family Services Therapist.Supervises staff meetings and weekly case conference, presentation and consultation of challenging cases, sharing of effective strategies.Responsible for reviewing consumer assessments.Responsible for reviewing Interpretive Summaries.Responsible for reviewing Wellness and Recovery Plans monthly, and as necessary.Document all clinical services and activities in accordance with licensing, Medicaid, and CARF standards and agency policy and procedure.Responsible for ensuring maintenance of clinical records in accord with licensing, Medicaid, and CARF standards and agency policy and procedure.Ensure appropriate collection and submission of clinical and evaluation data for the residential and outpatient programs (e.g. SISAR, ASAM, etc.)Participate in case conference.Plan, coordinate, and facilitate wellness groups and therapeutic-oriented activities focused on physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and behavioral health.Deliver psychoeducational groups that support recovery, relapse prevention, stress management, healthy coping skills, mindfulness, and self-care.Provide therapeutic services inclusive of individual counseling, treatment planning, assessment facilitation, discharge planning, and treatment collaboration with clinical team to caseload overflow if/when deemed necessary per staffing and/or census patternsRepresent the agency, as requested, at meetings of funding agencies, governmental authorities, seminars, workshops, etc.Participate in the discharge planning process for the consumer and family.Responsible for reviewing Discharge Summaries.Determine eligibility of consumers for Medicaid or other third-party payment.Provides referral and linkage for ancillary services for the consumer and family, as neededResponsible for inputting and reviewing incident reports.Completes all orientation and mandated training activities, including E-Learning Courses, within required timeframes, and in accordance with the criteria established for this position.Understands HIPAA, Professional Ethics, Consumer Rights and ConfidentialityParticipate in performance improvement activitiesEmbrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation.Perform any other duties as assigned.Essential Qualifications:Certifications/Licensures:Certification as a CAP or MCAP, in good standing by an agency approved and recognized by the Florida Certification Board is preferred at time of hire; Preference will be given to those candidates who are currently Certified;Licensure as a LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in good standing by an agency approved and recognized by the state of Florida is required at time of hire.Education:Graduation from an accredited masters program with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or related field is requiredExperience and Competencies:Two years of previously supervised work experience in providing individual/family therapy is requiredBilingual is preferred.Maintains confidential files and recordsThe ability to determine eligibility of a consumer’s admissionThe ability to evaluate the impact of substance use and mental health problems on the consumer’s functioning in major life areasKnowledge of the inter-relationship among substance use, mental health, and primary care disordersKnowledge in the understanding of Motivational Interviewing; Motivational Enhancement Therapy; Comprehensive, Continuous Integrated System of Care (CCISC);Trauma-Informed Care, and proficiency of nurturing Parenting CurriculumDemonstrate proficiency is the administration and interpretation of the below listed assessments, as needed:SMQ10PCL-5ASAMConfidence QuestionnaireChild/Adult Behavioral ChecklistOverdose screeningSISAR/CFARS/Mental health outcomeGPRALocusDemonstrate proficiency in the use of A-CRA and ACCDemonstrate proficiency in individualizing the QRRS, GRRS, and biopsychosocial assessmentsThe ability to interface and communicate with internal and external providersThe ability to identify crises when they surface; This factor is required to complete paperwork for many of the employee’s essential job functions and to observe client behavior and activities in and out of the facility.The normal work routine involves no exposure to human blood, body fluids or tissues.
