Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule

12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, with call, late shifts, and weekend requirements (1 position)

3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with call, late shifts, and weekend requirements (2 positions)

Requirements/Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Central Sterile/Sterile Processing

Prior travel experience is required

Current certification from CBSPD or HSPA is mandatory

BLS certification is required

Duties and Responsibilities

Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments and other medical equipment following the manufacturer's Instructions For Use (IFU).

Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize medical devices according to manufacturer's IFUs.

Operate automated washers, ultrasonic cleaners, cart washers, and sterilizers as per manufacturer's IFUs.

Inspect surgical instrumentation during tray assembly to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.

Prepare surgical case carts for added and/or emergency cases.

Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate timely instrument and supply needs.

Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of all departmental areas and log cleaning activities and product expiration dates.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support department functions.
