Sterile Processing Technician

This position requires a flexible schedule with the following shifts:

• 12pm - 8:30pm, including call/lates and weekend requirements (1 position available)
• 3pm - 11pm, including call/lates and weekend requirements (2 positions available)

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and inspecting surgical instruments and medical equipment in accordance with manufacturers' instructions. This role requires effective communication with team members to ensure that all instrument and supply needs are met promptly.

• Cleans and decontaminates surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Inspects, assembles, packages, and sterilizes medical devices.
• Operates automated washers, ultrasonic devices, cart washers, and sterilizers.
• Inspects surgical instrumentation during tray assembly.
• Pulls surgical case carts for add-ons and emergency cases.
• Completes cleaning of department areas and maintains logs.
• Acts as a key communicator with staff for instrument and supply needs.
• Performs other duties as necessary for departmental functions.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Central Sterile/Sterile Processing.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Certification from CBSPD or HSPA is necessary.
• Current BLS certification is required.
